Parupalli S. Phalgun – kanjira: An extremely talented and dynamic youngster, Phalgun was trained from the age of five by the Late Radhakrishna Raju and later under his son M.L.N. Raju of AIR Vijayawada. He hails from a family of great musicians such as Parupalli Ramakrishnaiah Pantulu, the guru of vocal Maestro M. Balamurali Krishna. He has accompanied many stalwarts in the field of South Indian music and he is currently on the faculty of The Govt. Music College, Vijayawada. A recipient of many awards, Phalgun is an A grade artist of the All India Radio and Television. He has accompanied Shashank on several concerts and recordings including in a DVD production.
