While still in his teens, Arun was taken as a pupil by the celebrated violinist brothers, Mysore Nagaraj and Mysore Manjunath. Since then he has been giving solo concerts as well as performing with major artists such as M. Balamuralikrishna, Madurai T.N. Seshagopalan, T.V. Gopalakrishnan, Flute Raman, and many others. He has also performed with North Indian musicians such as Parameswar Hegde (vocal), Ramesh Misra (sarangi), Samir Chatterjee (tabla), and with jazz musicians. He released his debut Carnatic classical CD in 2010, titled “Geethanjali” with percussion mainstays Tiravarur Bhaktavatsalam and Ghatam Giridhar Udupa.
